AI Delivery Assessment

Benchmark your team's AI delivery.

Your engineers are using AI tools. Can you say what changed? We measure your team's delivery against our published AI Velocity Report data and hand you a prioritised 90-day roadmap. £9,500 fixed, three weeks, credited in full against a subsequent engagement started within six months.

Most teams have adopted AI tools. Few can say what changed.

Licences are bought, tools are installed, and everyone is busy. What most engineering leaders cannot do is put a number on it: how much of the code is AI-authored, whether delivery is actually faster, where the tools help and where they quietly add rework. Without measurement, AI adoption is a cost line with an anecdote attached.

Our AI Delivery Assessment, the Velocity Audit, benchmarks your team against our published quarterly data. It is the same measurement discipline behind our AI Velocity Report, applied to your engineering organisation: evaluate what is in use, measure what it produces, compare it against published figures, and turn the gap into a plan.

What the Velocity Audit measures

We run the method we publish. Every quarter we evaluate AI tools, deploy what proves itself, measure the outcomes on live production work, and adapt. That cycle is why we can state our own figures plainly: 91.6% of our code is AI-authored, and 100% of it is reviewed by senior engineers and validated by ISTQB-qualified QA, with delivery measured at 40 to 50% faster than traditional methods.

The Velocity Audit applies the same instrumentation to your team. We look at how work actually moves through your delivery process: where AI is used, where it is avoided, what share of output it produces, and what your review and QA practices do with it. The result is a baseline you can defend in a board conversation, not a feeling.

Five deliverables, in three weeks

  1. 1

Baseline measurement of the team's current delivery metrics using our AI Velocity Report methodology

  2. 2

Tooling and practice review across engineering, QA and business analysis roles

  3. 3

Benchmark comparison against our published quarterly Velocity Report data

  4. 4

    Prioritised 90-day AI adoption roadmap

  5. 5

    Executive readout session

Who it is for, and who it is not for

The Velocity Audit is for CTOs and engineering leaders with an in-house team of 5 or more engineers who are adopting AI tools and cannot yet measure whether it is working.

It is not for everyone, and we would rather say so up front. It is not for teams looking for a build partner: that is our custom software development service. It is not for organisations that have not started AI adoption at all, because there is nothing to measure yet. And it is not for anyone wanting a tool recommendation without measurement; recommendations without a baseline are guesses, and we do not sell guesses.

Teams looking for a build partner

The Velocity Audit measures how your team delivers; it is not a build engagement. If you need software built, that is our custom software development service.

Organisations that have not started AI adoption

If your team is not yet using AI tools, there is nothing to measure. Start adopting, then benchmark.

Anyone wanting a tool recommendation without measurement

Recommendations without a baseline are guesses, and we do not sell guesses. The roadmap comes from the measurement, not ahead of it.

Three weeks, one fixed fee

The Velocity Audit runs over three weeks and is delivered remotely, with an on-site executive readout available across the UK. We start with the baseline measurement, review tooling and practice across engineering, QA and business analysis roles, benchmark the results against our published quarterly data, and close with the prioritised 90-day roadmap and the executive readout.

The fee is £9,500, fixed. If you go on to start a Talk Think Do engagement within six months, the fee is credited in full against it.

Why benchmark against us

Because the reference data is public. We have published the AI Velocity Report every quarter since we began structured adoption: the share of our code that is AI-authored, the measured delivery speed, what we adopted, and what we dropped. You are not benchmarking against a vendor's whitepaper; you are benchmarking against figures we put our name to every quarter, produced inside our ISO 27001 certified security framework.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI delivery assessment?

An AI delivery assessment is a structured benchmark of how an engineering team actually delivers with AI tools: what share of output AI produces, how it is reviewed, and where adoption is helping or hurting. Ours is called the Velocity Audit: three weeks, £9,500 fixed, ending in a prioritised 90-day adoption roadmap and an executive readout. The fee is credited in full against a subsequent Talk Think Do engagement started within six months.

How do you measure AI's impact on developer productivity?

We measure delivery on live work rather than surveys or vendor benchmarks, using the same methodology as our published AI Velocity Report: a quarterly cycle of evaluate, deploy, measure, adapt. It is the method behind our own published figures of 91.6% AI-authored code, 100% senior-engineer reviewed, and 40 to 50% faster delivery. Applied to your team, it produces a defensible baseline and a comparison against published quarterly data.

How much does the Velocity Audit cost, and how long does it take?

£9,500, fixed, over three weeks, delivered remotely with an on-site executive readout available across the UK. The fee is credited in full against a subsequent Talk Think Do engagement started within six months. There are no per-seat charges or follow-on obligations.

What do we get at the end of the assessment?

Five things: a baseline measurement of your team's current delivery metrics using our AI Velocity Report methodology; a tooling and practice review across engineering, QA and business analysis roles; a benchmark comparison against our published quarterly Velocity Report data; a prioritised 90-day AI adoption roadmap; and an executive readout session. Everything is yours to keep and act on, with or without us.

Does this only apply to teams using Claude Code, Copilot or Cursor?

No. The Velocity Audit measures outcomes, not tools, so it works whatever your team has adopted. Tool choice is one of the things the review examines, and the roadmap will say plainly if what you have is not earning its licence cost.

How is this different from your AI consulting service?

AI consulting is for organisations deciding what to build with AI: use cases, readiness, and a costed roadmap for AI products. The Velocity Audit is for engineering leaders whose teams are already using AI tools to build software and who need to measure whether it is working. One scopes what you build; the other measures how you build.

See how AI is changing how we build software

Our quarterly AI Velocity Report tracks real delivery metrics from live projects: how much of our code is AI-authored, how delivery timelines compare to baseline, and which tools are making a measurable difference. No marketing spin, just honest data from a team that builds software every day.
