The Challenge
Third Space’s existing back-end system was functional but not optimised for their evolving needs. It contained features that weren’t used, lacked the intuitive workflows their teams wanted, and had occasional outages that disrupted operations. With member expectations high and the business growing, Third Space needed a fully tailored, high-reliability platform that could handle significant booking volumes and adapt quickly to new requirements.
How We Helped
Talk Think Do was commissioned to design, build, and launch a new bespoke back-end platform, internally named Atlas, to serve as the operational hub for club management. Our work included:
- Discovery and architecture - defining requirements in partnership with Third Space operations and technical teams.
- Clean rebuild - developing a new cloud-native platform in Azure using .NET, SQL Server, and Redis, with a modular API layer to connect to their member and instructor apps, CRM, and booking systems.
- Data migration - moving live operational data to the new platform without disruption to day-to-day operations.
- Streamlined functionality - removing unused features while enhancing and simplifying tools for club staff.
- Single-release go-live - deploying the entire platform in one coordinated release, ensuring a seamless switchover for all users.
