Delivery Manager
As a Delivery Manager, you’ll take ownership of planning and overseeing projects, while leading the delivery of work for both long-term clients and new business opportunities. This includes managing a mix of new initiatives, in-flight projects, and larger programmes.
You’ll also work closely with new clients to understand their goals and requirements, helping to shape discovery phases and define the scope of future projects.

Salary: £40k - 55k
What you’ll do
- Full project life cycle ownership, from initiation to closure
- Determine and define project scope and objectives in close collaboration with clients
- Develop and deliver roadmaps, high-level plans, and detailed delivery schedules, clearly communicating timelines and expectations to client stakeholders
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy for their challenges and ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction throughout project delivery
- Manage delivery governance including RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), decision logs, and change logs — with a strong emphasis on traceability of decisions, requirements, and changes throughout the lifecycle
- Be diligent in capturing and recording key delivery decisions, especially those involving or affecting client expectations
- Ensure traceability from client requirements through to delivery, using tools and processes to track alignment and validate outputs
- Facilitate and lead client-facing meetings, status updates, and retrospectives, ensuring clarity and alignment
- Lead Sprint planning and backlog refinement activities in Agile teams, working closely with engineers, designers, and product leads
- Proactively manage blockers, engineering dependencies, and cross-team coordination
- Review and manage resource requirements to ensure sufficient delivery capability and address any client-side dependencies
- Track and report on budget and spend against project forecasts, highlighting any commercial risks to clients in a timely and professional manner
- Produce clear and regular reporting tailored to client needs, covering scope, schedule, risks, issues, and budget
- Plan and oversee implementation activity, ensuring seamless handover and go-live in client environments
- Contribute to discovery phases, client proposals, and solution shaping, drawing on delivery insight to help define feasible, high-impact plans
- Ensure adherence to ISO27001 and all relevant information security practices, giving clients confidence in our processes and handling of sensitive data
Who you are
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Highly proficient delivery lead, with a minimum of 5 years project management experience
- Proven experience managing software development projects, including aligning resources to budgets and maintaining traceability of requirements and associated costs throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Preferred experience in SDLC methodologies, Agile, Scrum
- Proven experience of balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
- Resilient and pragmatic, with the ability to facilitate technology teams and clients
- Ability to communicate to, and between, technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders
- Able to manage different perspectives and priorities through to a satisfactory conclusion
- Able to build strong trusting relationships with clients, showing empathy for client challenges
- Able to navigate complex product delivery challenges
- Understand how to control scope creep and manage cost creep
- Positive attitude, constantly striving to deliver the best customer experience possible for both internal and external customers
